I did it!  A neighbor and I ran in the Spirit of St. Louis 1/2 marathon on Sunday (April 9).  We finished in just under our goal time.  All the training that I did, starting back in December paid off.  What a sense of accomplishment and I can truly say it was FUN!

So I'm back to school/work after a spring break week of being very lazy.  We started off the break by going to Branson (Mike to a football clinic and me to the outlet malls!).  The rest of break was pretty low key and relaxing, reading books and watching Blake.  Three weeks and counting until my 1/2 marathon!!!

Mom and I got back yesterday afternoon from a scrapbooking retreat (we affectionately call it "Crop Camp").  We got there Friday night at about 6 and scrapbooked until about noon on Sunday, breaking only for meals and 4-5 hour "naps" in the early AM.  It was loads of fun and I was able to get somewhat caught up in my kids' photo albums.  Needless to day, I'll be a little tired in the early part of this week while my body tries to catch up on lost sleep but it was worth it.

Saturday was a tiring day with Basketball and Soccer, but that evening we went to the St. Louis Steamers indoor soccer game.  Bekah got to parade around the field as her team won first place in the winter indoor soccer league at The Field.  She thought it was pretty cool.  Blake was relatively impressed with all the festivities, but they wore him out and less than 10 minutes into the game, he was snoozing!

Things seem to be returning to normal for us.  Blake has stopped complaining of a sore "froat" and he's back to his normal energetic self, informing us that he doesn't need his medicine anymore because he feels better...Mike, Bekah, and I appear to have dodged the bullet.  Busy day tomorrow.  I'll have to post some pics.  We have basketball in the morning and soccer in the afternoon as usual, but that evening we're going to the St. Louis Steamers game.  Bekah's team took 1st place in their indoor soccer league (Dec-Jan) and so they get to march around the field at Savvis with the Steamer players and get a trophy and autographs.  Sounds exciting for them.
